CHECKING CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR PROPER INSTALLATION

Vehicles within the Effective Serial Number Range provided, must have the catalytic converters checked for proper installation (refer to
procedureVehicles within the supplied serial number range).

This work must be performed during the next scheduled maintenance or service.

Approximately 14,085 vehicles may be affected.

Effective Serial Number Range

Procedure:

1.

Raise vehicle on lift, inspect catalytic converters for proper installation. The arrows (1, Figure 1) stamped on the underside of the left and right
rear catalytic converters must point to the rear of the vehicle (arrows indicate the direction of the exhaust flow).

2.

If the catalytic converter(s) is improperly installed the complete catalytic converter assembly must be replaced (refer to Workshop Information
System [WIS] Grp. 49.10).
