Figure 2 Correct Staking

7.

Inspect seat belt buckle base tab staking. Refer to Figure 1 (correct staking) and Figure 2 (incorrect staking).

8.

Reinstall seat belt buckle if properly staked. Replace seat belt buckle if incorrectly staked. Torque seat belt buckle mounting bolt to 35 Nm. Mark
seat belt buckle mounting bolt with dark colored touch-up paint (e.g. green, black etc.) to verify that inspection and/or repair, when required, has
been performed.

WARNING!

It is extremely important for occupant safety that seat belt buckle mounting bolt is torqued to the proper specification.

9.

Reinstall front seat.

Note:

-

Apply Loctite 242 (local purchase) to threads of seat mounting bolts before installing. Torque seat mounting bolts to 40 Nm.

-

Ensure tie down rings are correctly positioned.

10.

Check for proper function of seat belt buckle and warning buzzer.

11.

Repeat procedure for other front seat.
