SRS Indicator Lamp Comes On, DTC Stored
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the SRS light is illuminated and there is at least one of the below DTCs stored in the
SRS ECU, the connector plug lock on the side airbag connector may need to be replaced.
Follow the procedure below to resolve.
Warning!
Injuries may result when performing testing or repair work on airbag or seat belt emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag unit with
expulsion area facing upward, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. Refer to
WIS document AS91.00-Z-0001-01A for additional information.
Note:
Do NOT replace side airbag
1.
Replace plug lock on affected side airbag connector. Refer to the following WIS documents for details on access to the connector:

Front Door Side Airbag: AR91.60-P-0690GH

Rear Door Side Airbag: AR91.60-P-0692GH
Note:
It is necessary to release the plug lock before it can be removed.
2.
Using STAR Diagnosis enter the following menus: [Control Units --> Body --> Airbag --> Actual Values --> Ignition Circuits --> Side Airbags].
3.
Slightly move side airbag connector and check whether nominal value remains constantly
4.
Erase SRS fault memory.
