The audio signal for the subwoofer speaker (H4/29) travels from the COMAND operating, display and controller unit via MOST to the amplifier for
sound system and from there, via direct lines, to the subwoofer amplifier (N40/9) and then to the subwoofer speaker.

On vehicles without code (810) Sound system, the audio signals are output by the COMAND operating, display and controller unit via direct lines to the
following speakers:

TV reception

Digital television stations are received by the antenna structures already present. The Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVBT) standard is
supported. In contrast to analog TV, the audio can be received in stereo here. The user can prevent switchover between alternative channels by using the
"Channel fix" control feature.

DVB-T allows more programs to be received in better quality with a common antenna, including portable, depending on the reception.

Videotext function

Some stations, primarily in central Europe, offer videotext in addition to their television program. For this purpose, the TV digital tuner is equipped with
a separate video text decoder. Only videotext broadcasts with Latin ASCII characters are supported, Greek and Cyrillic characters are not supported for
example.

Additional functionalities as of 1.7.09:

"BML" (Broadcast Markup Language) function:
The TV digital tuner supports videotext for all available Japanese TV stations. This enables information to be shown similar to a small website on
weather, news, etc. By selecting a prefecture in the setting list you can obtain regional information.

"EPG" (Electronic Program Guide) function:
The Electronic Program Guide shows information on start of program, end of program and detailed information on the television programs for
each TV station.

"Bilingual" function:
Two languages per station availability are supported, e.g. Japanese on the main sound track and English on the sub sound track.
