Remove tow hook check strap (I, Figure 11).

Install adhesive strip on edge of check strap cut out, as shown in Figure 12.

Start wrapping adhesive strip from outside and wrap around edge of check strap cutout.

Ensure edges of cutout are grease-free.

Spray preservation agent into upper bolt holes (E, Figures 8 and 13).

7.

Reinstall rear stainless steel under-ride guard.

Replace bolts (E and F, Figure 8) with new stainless steel bolts.

^

Apply a drop of thread lock to tip of new bolts, as shown in Figure 6.

Install a plastic washer on every stainless bolt prior to installing bolt.
