Route branch-off line for the left side of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (2) under the rear bench seat and fasten to floor panel using
felt tape (see picture).

The branch-off line for the left side is longer than the branch-off line for the right side.

Loosen nuts (11) from the cover of the cable duct and lift up cover.

Only lift up cover as far as is necessary to place the illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (2) next to the cable duct

Position black, 2-pin coupling (4) and black, 8-pin coupling (5) as shown.

Close cover of cable duct again and fasten with nuts (11).

The routing is the same for both sides.

Connection of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness

Start with the connection in the load compartment.

Disconnect black plug C (20) of rear SAM control unit (N10/8) and remove contact carrier (21) for pin 1 to 26.

Unpin line from contact cavity 1 of contact carrier (21) and pin into contact cavity 1 of included black, 2-pin connector housing (22).

Line in contact cavity 1 is the "Front passenger door contact" signal.
