Timing Chain Tensioner: Service and Repair
Remove/Install Chain Tensioner
Shown On Engine 112 In Model 129

Remove viscous fan (1)
NOTE: Right-hand thread!

Remove fan shroud (2).
NOTE: On model 163 unscrew bolts at bottom of fan shroud. Model 463

Remove poly V-belt (3)
NOTE: Installation: Lock tensioning device with a drift or pin (diameter 5 mm).

Remove generator (4)

Take chain tensioner (6) off timing case cover (5)
NOTE: Installation: Replace sealing ring (7).

Install in the reverse order.
