Insufficient Air Conditioning When Idling
If you receive customer reports in the above models where the air conditioning is insufficient when idling, please perform the following procedure.
1)
Inspect fuse f44, replace if blown.
Note:
Fuse f44 may blow due to excessive cycling of auxiliary fan.
2)
Check auxiliary fan operation.
Note:
If auxiliary fan does not operate, perform the corresponding diagnosis and repair. If the fan does not operate satisfactorily, check whether the
auxiliary wiring harness (Figure 1, 2) for the auxiliary fan has already been installed. The original auxiliary fan connector (M4x1) is already fastened
next to the new auxiliary fan connector (Figure 1, 3) with adhesive tape. If auxiliary wiring harness (Figure 1, 2) is already installed, ensure that a 40
Amp fuse in located at position f44. If an auxiliary wiring harness (Figure 1, 2) has not yet been installed, install the auxiliary wiring harness as
follows.
3)
Disconnect the battery's ground cable. Refer to WIS documents AR54.10-P-0003A and BA54.10-P-1001-01A.
4)
Remove rear cover (5 screws) from fuse and relay module (Figure 1, F1).
5)
Remove the mounting screws of the fuse holder on the fuse and relay module (Figure 1, F1) and lay down to side.
6)
Disconnect the blue connector (Figure 1, ML/B) from the bottom of the fuse holder.
