Take off cover on face end of engine

NOTE:  Model 129

Take off trim panel of cylinder head cover or air cleaner

NOTE:  Remove trim panel of cylinder head or air cleaner by pulling it vertically up and off the cylinder head covers.

Take off resonance housing (2/1)

NOTE:  Only on models fitted with air cleaner at vehicle side.

Remove plastic cover

NOTE:  Remove screw (1/4).

Release fuel pressure through service valve (1/1)

NOTE:  Collect fuel!

Refer to Special Tool below

Detach feed line (17/2)

NOTE:  Collect fuel!

Separate electric plug connection at injector (Y62)

Take out screws (17/1), lift fuel rail (17) together with all injectors off the intake manifold

NOTE:  Inspect O-rings for damage.

CAUTION:  Before installing fuel rail, oil O-rings: Remove, install injectors (ME-SFI)

Inspecting

Test fuel injectors (Y62)

NOTE:  Refer to DMAN Engine, Volume 4, Index 31/1 ZZZZZZZ

Install in the reverse order
