Leakage Between Oil Level Sensor and Oil Pan

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of oil leakage between the oil level sensor and the oil pan, the cause maybe due to the
sealing ring being damaged by the burr at the oil pan installation hole. To resolve, remove and replace only the sealing ring as per the parts information
listed below. Lightly oil the sealing ring prior to installation.

Inspect the surface of the oil pan oil level sensor installation hole. If extreme roughness or sharp edges are found, de-bur the rough surface of the oil pan
hole with an emery cloth.

The following allowable labor operations should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair.

Operation: Engine compartment panel, bottom - rear part, R&R (61-1072)

Engine oil level/oil quality sensor, replace (18-4110)
