Vehicle tracking can only be deactivated by the service center.

If the TELE AID antenna malfunctions (e.g. defective because of rollover), the emergency call system control unit automatically uses the TELE AID
backup antenna (A2/50) to receive and transmit the initiation command or the "ATA alarm".

General

Regardless of the type of vehicle-related service initiated (e.g. MB-Info call), a voice connection is established to the service center. After feedback by
the service center with a special tone, an SMS is sent to the service center with the appropriate data (vehicle identification number (VIN) and vehicle
model, etc.). Then the customer can speak to a service receptionist over the existing voice connection.

Function sequence

The hands-free system microphone group (A67b1), which is integrated into the inside rearview mirror unit (A67), is used for the voice input. The signals
from the hands-free system microphone group are routed over 2 discrete lines to the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
In the COMAND operating, display and controller unit, the signals from the hands-free system microphone group simply pass through and are forwarded
to the communication module integrated into the emergency call system control unit.

The communication module integrated into the emergency call system control unit then transmits the hands-free system microphone group signals to the
service center. The communication module integrated into the emergency call system control unit transmits and receives the mobile phone signals or data
in the following way:

Voice output is performed exclusively over the cockpit center speaker (Centerfill) (H4/27). This speaker is controlled by the emergency call system 
control unit over discrete lines.
In vehicles with code (810) Sound system, the center cockpit speaker (centerfill) is therefore muted for all other applications (e.g. audio mode) via a
mute signal from the emergency call system control unit via a direct line to the sound system amplifier (N40/3).

The mute signal on the sound system amplifier is used to simultaneously mute the following speakers in vehicles with code (810) Sound system:

Left rear door speaker (H4/3)

Right rear door speaker (H4/4)

Left front door speaker (H4/5)

Right front door speaker (H4/6)
