Make sure that the wiring harnesses are not damaged by chafing, pinching or crushing, as otherwise the corresponding wiring harness may have to be
replaced.

The following work procedure is shown on model 164.8.

1. Remove stop plug from rear center section.

The stop plug is no longer required.

2. Route trailer hitch wiring harness (24) along the trailer hitch crossmember (4) through the opening on the rear center section and into the trunk.
3. Seal trailer hitch wiring harness (24) using given grommet (6) to the rear center section.
4. Attach trailer hitch wiring harness (24) onto trailer hitch crossmember (4) using cable ties (32).

5. Insert relay terminal 30X for trailer (F4kL) into the load compartment fuse and relay box (F4).
6. Insert relay circuit 30 trailer (F4kU) in fuse and relay box in cargo area (F4).
