Damage to the paintwork structure due to stone chipping.

Attachments

Cause:

Various causes such as the adjustment of the doors relative to each other / to the fender, tires, large amounts of loose chippings etc.

Remedy:

In the event of customer complaint, check the affected areas on the right and left.

1. Repair paintwork structure in damaged area

(as per specifications of paint suppliers - These are described in the Aftersales Paint Technology Guide. (https:// portal.aftersales.i.daimler.com)

2. Apply stone chipping protective cover

3. Adjust doors in Y-direction

(Front doors) AR 72.12-P-0550GZ

(Rear doors) AR 72.10-P-0650GZ

NOTE:

In extreme cases, it is advisable to install mud guards.
