Position adapter for transmission (8a) at flange of front axle gear (12) and move into the horizontal position using the spirit level.

The absolute angle at the front flange of the transfer case (3a) and the absolute angle at the rear flange of the transfer case (3b) have the same
value. The absolute angle at the front flange of the transfer case (3a) is measured here.

Check the seat of the magnetic fork on the front flange of the transfer case (12).

If the location of the sensor (086a) deviates excessively from the horizontal, an error message appears on the display of the measuring instrument,
no value can be read off or stored.

Place sensor (086a) on the support plate.

The cable (10) must point forwards (arrow), otherwise an incorrect measurement occurs.

Ensure that the sensor (086a) is seated correctly in the bores of the support plate, otherwise an incorrect measurement occurs.

3.1

Read off the absolute angle on the front flange of the transfer case (3) on the display of the measuring instrument and enter in the data sheet.

If the electronic inclinometer is used or if a measurement is made with the electronic propeller shaft inclinometer in inclination measuring
mode.

The X-value of the display must be read off. Otherwise incorrect results occur.

The measured value must not be stored.

The absolute angle at the front flange of the transfer case (3) may only be read off if the sensor (086a) on standby and the displayed value is
constant.

3.2

Store the absolute angle at front flange of transfer case (3a) in the measuring instrument.

If the electronic propeller shaft inclinometer with memory extension is used or the electronic inclination propeller shaft inclinometer with
memory extension is used in articulation angle measuring mode.

Store the measured value by pressing the SAVE button. Afterwards the measurement readiness for the fourth angle is displayed.

The absolute angle at the front flange of the transfer case (3) may only be stored if the sensor (086a) on standby and the displayed value is
constant.
