Selectable MCS Background Color

In Model Year 2002, Model 163 vehicles, the MCS unit display background can be version coded for blue or black (default). Switching the background
colors is not a warrantable item. The procedure for changing the background color with Star Diagnosis follows:

Select the Model (ML320, ML5OO, ML55)

Control Unit Adaptions

Read Coding and change if necessary

Specified configuration of operating unit

Background color of LCD

-

Set to BLUE or BLACK as the customer desires

Do not replace MCS units for complaints of black background as this is the default background setting.
