Liftgate Window Glass: Service and Repair

AR67.20-P-3550GH Remove/Install Rear Window

Remove

1

Prepare glue cartridge
-

2-component repair kit for glazing glued window panes

Remove tailgate wiper motor

Remove center high-mounted stop lamp

Remove liner on tailgate

Separate electrical connections of rear window defroster

Danger:
-

Risk of injury from blade slipping off when clamping blade in multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out window

Always interrupt air supply when inserting blade. Wear protective gloves and eye protection.

Cutting out rear window

CAUTION:  Secure rear window with adhesive strips to prevent it from falling off.

Use suction cups to lift rear window off tailgate

Cut off remaining adhesive material on body flange and remove loose residues
-

Not more than 2 mm must remain.
