Location
Component Identification
The rear displays (left rear display and right rear display) belong to the scope of delivery of the seats and are installed in the front seat neck restraints.
Task
The rear displays are used to display all user-related information in the rear entertainment system.
Examples of this are the graphical displays for user guidance and operation, and the display of video signals.
Function
As well as having an on/off switch for activating the rear entertainment system, there are also buttons for adjusting the brightness and the volume.
The standardized digital LVDS transmission procedure ( Low Voltage Differential Signaling) is used for transmitting audio and video data from the
audio/video controller control unit to the left rear display and the right rear display.
Communication between the displays, the audio/video controller control unit and the other components of the rear entertainment system takes place via
the telematics CAN.
