Procedures

A.

Rubbing noises in the area of the right side of the windshield

Models 164.175/186 up to VIN A074262

Rubbing noises occur on the instrument panel in the area of the right side of the windshield due to the instrument panel contacting the
crossmember under the windshield.

Remove instrument panel upper section. (See WIS-document

AR68.10-P-1020GZ)

2.

Stick felt strip (1, Figure 2), material thickness approx. 3 mm, on the air duct below the instrument panel.
