As of Model Year 2006 with Option Code 810 (Sound Amplifier)

Audio Not Available During Start Up or Sound Amplifier Not Visible During Quick Test

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the audio not available during start up, this may be caused by either of the two causes
stated below. Perform the respective remedy as indicated.

Cause 1: 

Software error in the sound amplifier flash memory which can be over-written during start up.

Remedy:

1.

Connect a battery charger, turn ignition and electrical consumers OFF.

2.

Perform a Quick Test.

3.

If the sound amplifier is NOT visible during the quick test, exit DAS. Disconnect the battery charger and perform a power reset by pulling the
applicable (30 Amp) sound amplifier fuse F4f35 Fuse 35 located in the right rear cargo area. Wait for approximately two minutes and put fuse
back in socket.

4.

Connect charger and run a quick test again.

5.

Check if the Amplifier is now visible. If yes, update the amplifier's software to version 43/06 using DAS 07/07 or higher: Control units -->...-->
Sound-Sound System --> Control Unit adaptations --> Control module programming and follow the prompts.

6.

When update process is complete, turn the key OFF and allow MOST and CAN to enter sleep mode (wait about 5 minutes without using the
doors/windows).

7.

If the amplifier is still not visible on the MOST Ring, replace per WIS documents AR82.62-P-7720GZ (164) or AR82.62-P-7720RT (251).

8.

Check the newly installed amplifier's software version and update if necessary using steps 5 and 6 above.

Cause 2: 

Liquid intrusion on the sound amplifier due to unplugged/displaced condensation drain hose, incorrectly cemented windshield or leaking seal
between cross-member under windshield and interior compartment.

Remedy: 

Various Model 164/251 liquid intrusion documents can be found on Star TekInfo and WIS. Use the appropriate document in looking for signs of
liquid intrusion around the amplifier area (please DO NOT open the Amp). Check the condensation drain hoses and their correct seating. Immerse
the windshield with large volumes of water and check the interior compartment for any visible leaks. Should a leak be detected, repair the source
