Interior - Front Arm Rest Lid Latches Stick

Front Armrest Storage Compartment Latches Stick

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the tabs in the center console stick or do not slide properly, refer to the procedure below
to remedy the issue.

1.

Remove front armrest storage compartment cover. Refer to WIS document AR68.20-P-2370RT.

2.

With the armrest cover turned upside-down, insert plastic wedge under the left corner of the driver's side latch (Figure 1).

3.

With the wedge, applying force away from the latch, pull the driver's side latch out.

Caution!

When removing the tabs, be extremely careful not to drop the springs on the tabs into the armrest. Make sure the springs stay on the latches
themselves.

4.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the passenger side latch (Figure 2).
