Component Identification
Location
The SR motor is located behind the overhead control panel control unit (N70) below the paneling of the front roof frame in the center.
Task
The SR motor opens and closes the tilting/sliding roof according to customer request It monitors indirectly for lock-up recognition by measuring the
power consumption in combination with the EEPROM in the overhead control panel control unit.The power consumption value is used for monitoring
obstruction sensor.
Function
The rotation direction of the SR motor of the SR tilting/sliding roof drive unit is indicated by the polarity of the activation voltage in the overhead
control panel control unit Both tilting/sliding roof functions are performed by the same SR motor Starting from the open tilting roof position, the SR
motor turns in the "Closing" direction to close the tilting roof Continued rotation in the same direction beyond the "tilting/sliding roof " position causes
the sliding roof to open.
Two Hall sensors deliver pulses to the overhead control panel control unit for position measurement.
