Solder the two airbag wires, pins 5 and 6 in accordance with the specified repair method in WIS document AR54.18-P-0100-6A (Figure 6).

Note:

After splicing the repaired harness will be longer than the original harness.

Cut remaining wires of the vehicle harness as described in step 10, or 11 and 12. Slip solder connector (A002 546 13 41) onto the wires listed
below. Strip 15 mm of insulation from the ends of both wires and braid together (Figure 5). Solder in accordance with the specified repair method
in WIS document AR54.18-P-0100-06A (Figure 6).

If vehicle is equipped with a steering wheel heater slip solder connector (A002 546 1441) onto the wires listed below. Strip 15 mm of insulation
from the ends of both wires and braid together (Figure 5). Solder in accordance with the specified repair method in WIS document
AR54.18-P-0100-06A (Figure 6). If there is no steering wheel heater, tape up the unused wires of the repair harness.

Note:

Ensure during the reassembly of the SCM connector that all terminals are reinstalled in their correct positions. Use the appropriate WEB ETM
document to confirm pin locations and wire colors.

Insulate the solder connectors and the repaired harness with fabric tape. The repaired harness will be longer than the original harness.

18.

Route the harness out towards the SCM. Install the SCM connector onto the jacket tube and reinstall the cable anchor (Figure 7).
