Remove the (SCM) connector from the jacket tube (Figure 1).

Remove the cover for the instrument panel. Refer to WIS document AR68.10-P-1060GZ (164) or AR68.10-P-0160RT (251).

Remove the radio (COMAND). Refer to WIS document AR82.60-P-7502GZ (164) or AR82.60-P-7502RT (251).

Unclip the cable anchor and pull out the harness (Figure 2).

Remove the fabric tape at both ends of the black harness conduit.

The wire colors for ignition circuit 1 and 2 are the same and cannot be interchanged. Ignition circuit 1 connects to terminals 5 and 6. Terminals 5
and 6 of the repair harness are marked with a tag, see Figure 3.
