GF91.60-P-4034RT Side Bag Sensor Component Description
Component Identification
Measuring range and sensitivity are checked to see if they match the programmed equipment. The production date can be read out via the diagnosis.
The driver sidebag sensor and front passenger sidebag sensor are each located in the B-pillars. They determine the acceleration values in the area of the
left and right B-pillars and are used for advance warning of a side collision.
Basic functions are:
^
Constant transmission of a digital "OK" signal after successfully passing the self-test
^
Transmission of "Sensor defective" if self test fails four times in succession
^
Transmission of identification (measuring range, sensitivity) when requested by restraint systems control unit (N2/7)
^
Periodic transmission of acceleration values as digital value
