Component Identification

Unscrew self-locking nut from tie rod joint (1).

Mount thrust piece.

Press off tie rod ball joint (1) using puller (4) and press.

Do not damage rubber boot (2) as lubricant would escape from the tie rod ball joint (1). This results in increased wear. Fit puller (4) carefully
otherwise the stainless steel race (3) will be damaged.

Remove puller (4), press and thrust piece.

Installation

Clean tapered connection.

The cone and thread must be free of grease and oil

Replace self-locking nut and tighten H. If necessary, counter hold ball head on the tie rod joint (1) using an Allen wrench.
