When routing, it is important to ensure that the end of the intake hose is lying against the damping mat (Figure 4, 1) under slight tension.

The attached intake hose must be routed horizontally at the compressor (Figure 4, 2).

Note:

Air discharge from the Airmatic compressor is a normal operating characteristic of the Airmatic suspension system. Discharge at regular
intervals is required in order to remove moisture from the compressor's air drier.

Note:

Dampening mats have been implemented into series production as of January 8, 2007, and modified intake hoses have been implemented into
series production as of July 1, 2007.
