Using special tool W140 589 02 33 00 pull the locking pin up (Figure 8) and move the lock arm to the middle position (Figure 9) using a
pointed object (e.g. a screwdriver).

Note:

It may be necessary to push the stowage compartment down to move the locking arm.

Caution!

BE VERY CAREFUL not to pull the locking pin spring out (Figure 10).

Once the locking arm is in the correct position, the storage compartment should open normally
