Rattling Noise in Area of Front Axle with Approx. 180 Degrees of Steering Wheel Input
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a rattling noise in the area of the front axle with approximately 180 degrees of steering
wheel input under moderate or partial engine load, this may be the result of the left side constant velocity joint not having an optimized finish in the
bearing race. In such cases, the left front half shaft (left front axle shaft) should be replaced.
Refer to WIS document AR33.30-P-0620RT for information on how to remove the left front axle shaft.
