Repair Materials
Wear cotton gloves. Ensure that no fingerprints are present in the area of the adhesive surface (area E).
1. Cut glue residues on body flange down to a height of approx. 1 mm to 2 mm.
A maximum of 2 mm of glue residue may be left. Pull off loose adhesive material (remaining pieces which are not completely cut off).
2. Clean gluing surface (area E) on body flange of rear-end door with cleaner from 2K 2K repair kit for installing glued windows and rub dry with
rag.
3. Remove loose glue residues from body flange.
4. If glue residues are damaged or missing on the body flange, apply primer in area to be glued. Then allow primer to air-dry completely (at least 10
minutes).
5. Repair paint damages on body flange not covered by glue with primer pin
To avoid poor adhesion when installing window, adhesive surfaces of body flange of rear-end door must be free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt
residues and other anti-adhesive components.
