Body - Side Window Glass Is Cracked

SUBJECT: Model 251.122/156/165/175/177, Up to VIN A062280

Equipped with Infrared Reflecting Glass (Code 596)
Laminated Side Window Glass Cracked

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the side window glass being cracked, perform the following to resolve.

1. Detach door lining. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P-1000RT.

2. Remove door module including window lifter mechanism. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P- 0900RT.

3. Remove side window and install new side window. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P-1900RT.

4. Install new door module including window lifter mechanism.

5. Attach door lining.

NOTE:  The material of the new driver's window lifter mechanism has changed. The old drivers window lifter is Die-cast aluminum (Figure 1)
and the new driver's side lifter is plastic (Figure 2). Install only new version lifter mechanisms; check the lifter before installing the door module.
