Repair Materials
Wear cotton gloves. Ensure that no fingerprints are present in the area of the bonding surface (area F). To prevent adhesion problems when installing the
window, keep the bonding surface free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive substances.
1. Cut down existing glue bead on body flange to a height of approx. 1 to 2 mm.
Do not leave more than 2 mm of the existing glue bead. Pull off loose parts of existing glue bead (remaining pieces which are not completely cut
off).
2. Clean repair area with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
3. Clean bonding surface (area F) on body flange with cleaner from 2-component repair kit or 1-component repair kit for glazing bonded windows
and rub dry with rag.
4. If glue bead on body flange is damaged or missing, apply primer in area to be glued using application rod provided. Then allow primer to air-dry
completely (min. 10 min.)
5. Repair paint damage at body flange with primer applicator
