Position right front illuminated door sill in the correct installation position.

Do not clip on illuminated door sill.

Lift up door frame seal and mark position of wiring harness (24) on door fold.

Marking must be at least 6 mm from the upper door fold. Ensure that mark is not on a  welding spot.

Remove right front illuminated door sill.

Drill hole (19) with a diameter of 10 mm at the marking (in center between arrows) in right front door fold.

Tape off all body openings in the rocker panel area using double sided adhesive tape.

Deburr hole (19) on inside and outside.

Clean hole (19).

The hole (19) must be dry and free of dust and grease. Do not use compressed air to blow away the resulting metal shavings, but rather remove
using a vacuum cleaner.

Seal hole (19) in accordance with manufacturer's specifications using zinc dust paint and allow to flash off.

The zinc dust paint must be completely hardened before continuing with the next operation steps.

Treat hole (19) using wax preservation.

Fit rubber grommet (23) into hole (19) as made.

Fit contact springs (22) of wiring harness (24) for right front illuminated door sill through the rubber grommet (23).

Fit contact springs (22) into connector housing (30).
