The motor electronics (ME-SFI) fuel injection and ignition system control (engine control) for engine 156 AMG which is integrated in the ME-SFI [ME]
control unit (N3/10) is supplied by "Bosch" and has the internal designation "ME 9.7 AMG".
The abbreviated designation "ME 9.7 AMG" means:
M = Motronic
E = Electronic accelerator pedal (electronic accelerator)
9.7 = Version 9.7
AMG = AMG specific hardware and software
The engine control in ME-SFI [ME] control unit is flashable. The software required to program the control units is provided on the STAR DIAGNOSIS
DAS Update DVD.
