1.

Open tail lamp cover and remove plastic rivet (arrow, Figure 9).

2.

Remove rivets (arrows, Figure 10).

3.

Push trim pieces to side or top and remove mounting screws and washers (qty. 6).

4.

Remove bumper towards rear.

Disassembling the bumper

5.

Remove clips and chrome moldings, (Figure 11), SMS Job No. 88-225.
Remove left and right mounting screws and remove beam.
Using a screwdriver, press retaining clip out of outer mounting. Drill out the side mounting brackets.

Assembly

6.

Insert beam into AMG rear skirt.

7.

Press upper and lower retaining tabs into place.
