pin end is not burned or covered with carbon deposits. If burner tops are burned or cracks have developed in precombustion chamber lower
portion, remove intake manifold and check for traces of oil leakage. Any oil leakage traces, should be serviced (repaired and/or worn or damaged
components replaced) before installing an original or new precombustion chamber. If oil moistened spots or deposits are found check vacuum
pump for damage. If damaged, replace fuel injection pump vacuum control unit. Check vacuum control unit vacuum lines. vacuum lines (scored or
blackened by excessive oil leakage) will indicate which of two components of vacuum unit has failed.

1. Distance C, Fig. 14, must be maintained at 0.299-0.319 inches.
2. If distance is not maintained, select appropriate sealing ring and insert between cylinder head and precombustion chamber.
3. Install precombustion chamber into cylinder head. Ensure lug on precombustion chamber is pointing toward cylinder head recess.
4. Lubricate threaded ring and install into cylinder head assembly. Torque threaded ring to 66-81 ft. lbs.
5. Install glow plugs and connect glow plug wires.
6. Insert new nozzle reed.
7. Completely install nozzle holder.
8. Connect fuel return hoses onto injection lines.
9. Install fuel injection lines.

10. Install Bowden wire holder onto engine regulator.
