Condenser HVAC: Description and Operation

The condenser changes the state of the refrigerant coming from the evaporator from gaseous to liquid.

The hot refrigerant coming from the A/C compressor is pressed into the condenser from the top. Banks of tubes and louvers quickly absorb this heat.
Outside air is pressed or pulled through the condenser, heats up cooling thereby the refrigerant.
As the refrigerant cools down to a certain temperature depending on the pressure, it condenses and liquefies. The liquid refrigerant then flows out at the
bottom of the condenser to the receiver/drier.
