Remove/Install Engine Mounts

Remove

Remove engine suction fan ducts (1) in front of the air cleaner

Detach cover at front end of engine (2) in front of the air cleaner

Fit on engine support frame

Dismount top engine mount (3) from engine support (4)

Raise engine slightly

DANGER:
-

Risk of death, Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove left front axle shaft
-

When removing left engine mount.

Dismount bottom engine mount (3) from front axle carrier (5)

Lift left steering knuckle at supporting joint using assembly and transmission platform as far as necessary, until the left engine mount between
suspension strut and tie rod can be taken out toward rear

When removing left engine mount.

NOTE:  Observe the environmental protection regulations for the disposal of engine mounts. Dispose engine mounts into mixed scrap.

Guide right engine mount (3) to inner front across the front axle carrier (5) and take out toward top between radiator and engine

When removing right engine mount (3).

NOTE:
-

The engine must be lifted as far as necessary, so that the engine mount (3) can be guided between engine and front axle carrier (5)

Observe the environmental protection regulations for the disposal of engine mounts Dispose engine mounts into mixed scrap.
