Vacuum Brake Booster: Description and Operation
Travel Sensor
Circlips Of Diaphragm Travel Sensor
The version of the circlip differs for the Lucas and ITT/Ate brake booster.
When inserting the new circlip, it is essential to ensure that the correct one of the two circlips from the parts kit is used.
It is possible to refer to the sticker on the brake booster to determine whether it is a Lucas or ITT/Ate brake booster.
Seal Of Diaphragm Travel Sensor
The diaphragm travel sensor must only be replaced if no vacuum is present in the brake booster. Otherwise, there is a risk of the seal dropping into
the brake booster when the diaphragm travel sensor is removed, and in this case the complete brake booster would have to be replaced.
