the cam (48). Tighten pipe clamp to 5 Nm.

Release pipe clamp for brake pedal cable (40B) and pull brake pedal cable in direction of arrow until brake pedal locking lever (44B) contacts the cam
(48).  Tighten pipe clamp to 5 Nm.

Adjusting Cable Without Replacement

It is not necessary to remove the center console.
Remove and install shift gate cover.
Carefully press out air duct using a large screwdriver or plastic wedge.

NOTE:  Do not damage the duct.

Move selector lever to position "P" and ignition key to position "0".

Release pipe clamp for steering lock cable (40L) and slowly pull cable in direction of arrow using pliers until slight resistance is detectable.

Tighten pipe clamp to 5 Nm.

Release pipe clamp for brake pedal cable (44B) and slowly pull cable in direction of arrow using pliers until slight resistance is detectable.

Tighten pipe clamp to 5 Nm.
