Parking Assist Mast Actuator: Service and Repair

Component Identification

Panelling (1) on left and right in trunk 

Remove, install.

Pneumatic line (2) 

Pry off with open-end wrench (WAF 7 mm), press on.

Press retainer (arrow) 

And move backup assist element up or down by turning adjustment mechanism to left or right.

Mounting screws (3) 

Unscrew, screw on.

Backup assist element (7) 

Remove.

Pneumatic function of element 

Check, Diagnosis Manual, Body, volume 1.

Element 

Install in opposite order.
