Sunroof / Moonroof Cable Housing: Service and Repair

Remove headliner.

-

Remove control cable. See: Sunroof / Moonroof Cable/Service and Repair

Remove motor and gear unit.

-

Unscrew automatic roll-up unit, left (Fig. 1), and disconnect electrical connection on rear pillar.

Pull off vapor seal (Fig. 2) and unscrew clamp.

-

Unscrew retaining plate (Fig. 3) on tilting/sliding roof frame.

-

Expose and remove tube from tilting/sliding roof frame from rear. For this purpose push tube into trunk and then remove toward front.

-

Reinstall in opposite order.

CAUTION:  Do not bend tube when installing, otherwise control cable sticks.
