Seat Cover: Service and Repair
Remove/Install Cover on Rear Seat Backrest

Preliminary work:

Rear backrest removed. Refer to "Replacement of Rear Seat and Rear Backrest". See: Seat Back/Service and Repair 
Folding arm rest for rear system removed. Refer to "Replacement of Folding Arm Rest For Rear Seat System". See: Service and Repair 
Rear head restraint mechanism removed. Refer to "Replacement of Rear Head Restraint Mechanism". See: Head Rest/Service and Repair 

Rear backrest (1)

lay down with upper side on a suitable surface.

Covering (2)

pull out all round on the plug-in section of the backrest frame (4).

Cover (2) on arm rest cut-out

pull out of plug-in section.

Upper transverse loosening device on left and right

unhook (4 metal hooks, arrows).

Side climbing nettle

detach from support (3).

Cover (2) with support (3)

remove from backrest frame (4)

Longitudinal loosening device (5 and 6)

unhook from support (3) by unhooking plastic hooks (6 pieces) on the wires (4 pieces).

Transverse loosening device (7) in area of lower arm rest

unhook (plastic hooks, 2 pieces).

Cover (2)

remove from support (3).

Install in opposite order.

Installation note

In order to avoid pressure points due to the longitudinal and transverse loosening wires, when hooked in the wires must be aligned so that they lie in the
loosening channels of the support (5).
