Remove Parking Brake Pedal and Bracket

Release parking brake front cable from automatic adjuster located above rear driveshaft

1.

Raise vehicle on lift.

2.

Remove body stiffening cross-brace.

3.

Unhook exhaust system 0-rings.

4.

Support exhaust system as required.

5.

Remove exhaust heat shields as necessary to gain access to parking brake cable automatic adjuster.

Preload automatic adjuster (92) by rotating hex. socket bolt (g) by approx. 1/2 turn counterclockwise, at the same time pushing rearward (direction
of arrow) until eccentric locks into spring clip (d).

Caution

During reassembly, release automatic adjuster by lifting spring clip (d) with screwdriver.

7.

Remove tensioning spring (94).

8.

Disconnect front parking brake cable (85) by removing retaining bolt (93).
