Release black, 3-pin coupling (3) of wiring harness for AUX jack (1).

Unplug white (ws), brown (br) and transparent (tr) lines from the black, 3-pin coupling (3).

The black, 3-pin coupling (3) is no longer needed.

Route wiring harness for AUX jack (1) in the instrument panel as per the picture.

Disconnect black, 22-pin coupling (5) of COMAND control unit (A40/3).

Component Identification

Release lock (see arrow) on side at coupling (5) and pull black, 20-pin contact carrier (6) of on-board wiring harness (4) out of coupling (5).
