The transport lock (10) between the trailer hitch crossmember (1) and the swivel ball neck must not be removed. Otherwise the system locks and
cannot be unlocked.

The ball neck snaps into its two end positions and can only be operated using the cable at the release lever.

8. Push the crossmember (1) with longitudinal member reinforcements (2, 3) into the vehicle longitudinal member and then guide the cable (14) and

the wiring harness for the end position switch (16) through the hole and seal with grommet (11).

The tightening sequence of the nuts and bolts is to be adhered to on a mandatory basis.

9. Screw on the crossmember finger-tight with four self-locking nuts M10 (15) on the right of the rear center section.

The nuts M10 (15) may only be tightened to the specified torque after aligning the trailer hitch.
