Note:

Ensure during the assembly that all wires are connected correctly. Reference WEB ETM document PE46.10-U-2101SAA to confirm pin
locations and wire colors.

Use fabric tape to cover the solder connectors and join harness section A and B back together.

Install the repaired harness following the original routing. Use a cable tie in the lower anchor point and press the upper anchor into the steering
column housing (Figure 7).

Note:

The cable anchor must be installed correctly or damage to the harness may occur.

Reassemble the vehicle in reverse order.

19.

Connect SDS to verify correct resistance of the driver's airbag ignition circuits --> Control unit --> Body --> Airbag --> Actual values --> Ignition
circuits --> Airbags for driver and passenger.

20.

Resistance value for R12/13 and R12/14 should read approximately 3 - 3.5 ohms

Return cut off connectors to the QEC along with Short Test print out from STAR Diagnosis for analysis. Claims submitted as of repair date
June 13, 2007 without returned parts and printouts may be debited.
