Electric Rear Seat Adjustment Intermittently Not Working or Battery Discharged Due to Bus Keep-Awake Signal Keeping CAN Bus Active
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding either the electric rear seat adjustment intermittently not working or the battery is
discharged due to bus keep-awake signal keeping the CAN bus active, this may due to software programming in the ESA-R (N25/6). Affected are ESA-R
part numbers A221 870 60 86 and A221 870 81 86. Read out the bus keep-awake event ID (last and one prior to last entries) using SDS via the actual
values of the CGW ECU. If the ESA-R (N25/6) is entered as a bus keep-awake device, the ESA-R can be flashed with SDS version 02/2006 and
flashware number 221 442 13 11. The replacement part number listed below already has the updated software.
