Component Identification

Check oil level at room temperature only and not when rear axle differential is warm. Otherwise, when the rear axle differential is at operating
temperature, required oil could escape.

Clean area around oil filler screw (50g).

Remove oil filler screw (50g)

The oil filler screw must be replaced.

If necessary, collect any oil which runs out and allow to run out until the oil still only drips out of threaded hole.

Check oil level.

With the correct oil level the oil reaches up to the bottom edge of the threaded hole.

Clean new oil filler screw (50g) and threaded hole in the rear axle differential with cleaning spray and suitable rag.

The oil filler screw and threaded hole must be free from oil and grease.

Coat about one droplet of sealant on the second or third lower thread of the oil filler screw (50g).

Screw oil filler screw (50g) into rear axle center assembly immediately and tighten to specified tightening torque.
