Control module integrated into the automatic A/C pushbutton control module (N22) controls the system as follows:

Directly: duovalves; blower regulator

Via CAN-bus: A.C compressor in car temperature sensor coolant circulation pump engine A.C electric fan rear window defroster

Via A/C bus: electronic control for center nozzle electronic control for stepping motor with 10 connected actuator motors for air distribution

The following sensor signals are read in by the automatic A/C control module:

Directly: left and right heat exchanger temperature sensor evaporator temperature sensor

Via CAN-bus: outdoor temperature sensor refrigerant temperature sensor, refrigerant pressure sensor

Via overhead control panel control module: in-car temperature sensor

-

Via electronic ignition lock control module: battery voltage coolant temperature sensor, engine speed

-

Via instrument cluster: vehicle speed

-

Via A/C bus: sun sensor, multifunction sensor potentiometer in center nozzle

The window, door and sliding pop-up roof positions are read in by automatic A/C control module in order to achieve better control quality when they are
open. The signals for the front occupied seat recognition are transmitted from the front seat control module via the CAN bus to the automatic A/C control
module. The more passengers are present in the vehicle the higher the basic speed for the automatic blower control.

The following sensor signals are transmitted via the CAN bus by the automatic A/C Control module

Sun sensor values (the overhead control panel control module reads these values in for the automatic driving light feature for better redundance for
this system

Dew point temperature (the front door control modules read in this value in order to switch on the exterior rear view mirror defrosters as required

Seat ventilation (the, blower setting on the automatic A/C pushbutton control module is read in by the front seat control modules in order to adapt
the seat ventilation)
