Equipped with Xenon and Bi-Xenon Lights Warning Message "Right Low Beam Check Bulb" or "Left Low Beam - Check Bulb" in Instrument Cluster
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a warning message in the instrument cluster and DTC B1630 stored in the SAM control
unit, this may be due to the fact that the xenon burner may not be ignited on the first attempt due to tolerances in the ignition voltage.
1.
Perform quick test with DAS.
2.
If DTC B1630 is stored in the SAM control unit, but the low beam is OK, replace both xenon burners with correct part numbers shown below.
3.
Erase fault memory.
Note:
Use only the new xenon burners are made by Philips! Do not use Osram xenon burners in Model series 215 and 220 in the event of these
conditions. The tolerances in the ignition voltage of the xenon burner have been optimized for use of Philips bulbs!
